Applying to Universities
How do I apply to a university abroad through Jiva Consultings?
Book a free consultation, then we review your profile and shortlist universities. Our team prepares your documents and SOP, submits your applications, and tracks them with the universities. After you receive an offer we guide you through the visa and pre-departure steps.
Start your applicationWhich documents do I need to apply to a university abroad?
Most applications need your passport, academic transcripts and certificates, an English test result, a Statement of Purpose, a CV and academic references. Some countries, programs and scholarships ask for more, so your counsellor gives you an exact checklist for your chosen destination.
Which English test do I need, and what score is required?
Most universities accept IELTS, and many also accept TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo. UK degree programs typically ask for IELTS Academic 6.0 to 7.0, while Malaysia often accepts lower scores. Requirements vary by university and course, so check your specific program before booking a test.
When should I start applying for an intake?
Start six to twelve months before your intake. That leaves time for English testing, documents, SOP drafting, offers, scholarship deadlines and your visa. Popular intakes and competitive scholarships have early deadlines, so earlier is safer.
What is a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and can Jiva write it?
A Statement of Purpose is a personal essay submitted with a university or scholarship application that explains your goals, background and reasons for choosing a program. Jiva Consultings writes and reviews personalised SOPs with you, starting from PKR 5,000.
Learn about SOP writingCan I search for programs and universities on your website?
Yes. Our programs database lets you filter courses by country, level, field and intake, and the institutions page lists our partner universities. A counsellor can then shortlist the best options for your budget and profile.
